Andrew from Malta sent me the following email.....Dear Sir, Although I am a LP fan I am very sorry and disappointed for Sven sacking. Personally I think that Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra is only interested In making a quick buck, and not knowing that losing Sven he will be loosing more than his quick buck. I feel very sorry for Mr. Shinawatra as he is showing the World of football that he is not capable to see a good coach like Sven. It’s a pity for Man City! End of quote.

Definite No. Who else would come in and invest anything like he has and intends to do. Whilst all the wild speculation goes on can anyone tell me WHO SAID Sven is getting the sack. Even Sven has said he does not know anything about the comments made by his agent Athole Still. This is what Sven has said, and I quote, "I heard he had said something, but he has not spoken to me at all." Now Sven says he is taking the squad to the Far East so where does his future lie ???

Only passing on a message. Perhaps those living in Malta know something we don't?

perhaps thaksin thinks sven performance this half of the season shows a disticint lack of imagination fromt he manager, who hasnt changed the team or tactics and persists in playing the wrong players...thinks he actually isnt the man to take the club foward and is cutting his losses now and will get a new manager, the season when keegan left, pearce had the end of we were challenging for europe with a poor side...we have just given up this year in 2008...if pearce was in charge we would of called for his head a long time ago. sven has spent alot and achieved 8th or 9th...may be our highest points total...but a pretty crap league finish. thaksin can do waht he wants, if he feels sven isnt right so be it...the press our just jumping on the bdanwagon..making sven appear to be the golden child who has doen nothing wrong.

Sven is a good manager. The question is do you want a great one? (1881)
