Thaksin Shinawatra Advisors Contact Jose Mourinho!

Vital Manchester City has been informed that City owner Thaksin Shinawatra advisors have been in contact with Jose Mourinho.

By all accounts, Sven-Goran Eriksson has been summoned to a meeting with Thaksin Shinawatra early next week, whereby so-called clear-the-air talks between both parties will finally see Sven depart Manchester for nearby Portugal.

Meanwhile, talks between ex-Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and Toxin advisors (in an effort to bring another high profile character to the club) are best described as at a preliminary stage.

Unless you have personally had a phone call from 'The Special One' I will not believe anything.

My source is new to me, hence why I was very vague with the article. I was told a bit more but I am a tad suspicious. If the mole provides further details I will no doubt have to decide if I delete the message or ......

Really ANYTHING is possible. What irony that Sven is about to be sacked and we could get into Europe via the catflap. Sven was his usual dignified self, but he knows it's curtains..'We came in here last summer and bought a lot of players in a short time. 'It's a possibility that I will not be here long. Of course it is. That's no secret and I do have emotions about it. 'I think I have been a success here but he [Thaksin] does not think that. You must ask him. He is abroad somewhere. 'I know we haven't played brilliant football all the time but we have played well many times. We are on the right side of the table and could finish as high as eighth.'

JB i think if he had been installed earlier in the summer, we would have had a better finish, he has done brilliant with the time he had the money he was given and almost everoone wrote him off from the start. i shall always be grateful to him if he does leave and in a poll of best managers we had, would be in my top three.

I think Sven has done an ok job but I feel he has let us down, our start was great but then after Xmas he started messing about with Elano and using players in weird positions! Also stating we was riding our luck and that we was in a unrealistic place in the table took the confidence right out of the players - you don't get negative when your in a good position you make them believe! We beat United twice, First Man U victory was good but they were all over us and Geo's goal saved us - second game at United we just played very good, worked very hard, was all over them and shown City can compete with the best! But after that we lose against Everton, Reading, Birmingham? Our goal difference is poor and have picked up 5 wins from 17 League matches this year (8 defeats). This is in marked contrast to the first half of the season when City won 10 of their opening 20 games and lost just 4? They have conceded a lot of goals having kept just 1 clean-sheet in the last 9 games having let in 11 goals in the last 6 games?

Sunday Telegraph - "City owner Thaksin Shinawatra is said to have had Mourinho high on his wish list ever since he came to the conclusion that Sven-Goran Eriksson wasn't the man to perform miracles at Eastlands. Luiz Felipe Scolari was another big name candidate, but he appears to have cold feet." Obviously my sourse was closer to the mark than I thought!!
