Sven's Signings - Splendid Or Stupid?

Since moving to Manchester City in the summer of 2007, 'Super- Swede Sven' has spent more than £30m on buying 10 new players.

Splendid Or Stupid?

Given the opportunity, how would you rate Sven's purchases?

Rolando BIANCHI - Italian born striker. Signed from Reggina for £8.8m.

GEOVANNI - Brazilian midfielder. A free signing from Cruzeiro.

ELANO - Brazilian attacking midfielder. Signed a four-year contract from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Gelson FERNANDES - Cape Verde midfielder. Signed from Swiss side FC Sion in July 2007.

Martin PETROV - Bulgarian attacking midfielder who is described as a talented left-winger. Petrov arrived from Athletico Madrid in a £4.7m deal.

Javier GARRIDO - Spanish defender. £1.5m signing from Real Sociedad.

Vedran CORLUKA - Defender born in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Sven-Goran Eriksson's sixth signing after he put pen to paper on a five-year deal.

Valeri BOJINOV - Bulgarian striker. Joined from Fiorentina for an undisclosed fee.

Felipe CAICEDO - Ecuadorian striker. City paid Basle £5.2m for his services.

BENJANI - Zimbabwean Striker. City paid Portsmouth £3.87m, a fee that could rise to £7.6m depending on appearances.

Benjani very nearly didn't sign after reportedly falling asleep at the airport, missing his flight and subsequent medical.

Over to you. What do you think?

Would tend to agree with his comments which overall makes most of Sven's signings a definite positive. Can we have more next season please ?

Class players he got was Elano, Petrov and Bojinov - FERNANDES and CORLUKA more to come! The others was poor.
