City Stadium Set For Star Studied Spectacular

City of Manchester Stadium is gearing itself up for three star studied spectaculars. Acts include boxing's Ricky Hatton Homecoming, the Foo Fighters and Bon Jovi.

Ricky Hatton Homecoming - Saturday 24 May

Over 55,000 fans will witness Hatton go toe-to-toe against Juan Lazcano, a Mexican born Californian, his first fight since his defeat by Floyd Mayweather in December?

Stockport born Hatton said prior to the eagerly awaited fight...

'I can sense people are waiting with the daggers out, ready to say I'm more or less finished. This fight is probably my most important fight to date.'

'I am coming back from not just a loss, but a knockout loss and people will be wondering what I will bring to the ring.'

'I know there are people out there who want to see me fail but I won't let my fellow countrymen down.'

Other Events

Foo Fighters - Monday 2 June

Bon Jovi - Sunday 22 June

Ticket information can be found by clicking here.

Pitch

Following on from the summer events, the club has confirmed that the pitch will be relayed ready for the beginning of the new season. Sadly, this means the UEFA Cup qualifying round home game will probably have to be moved to a neutral venue as the turf would not have time to settle in.

UEFA Qualification

City's first qualifying game could be as early as 17 July and alternative grounds include Huddersfield's Galpharm Stadium are being considered.
