Joe Hart Hopeful Of England Cap

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart hopes to oust resident England keeper David James and receive his first full England cap.

Speaking to www.thefa.com the 21-year-old shot-stopper said...

'It would mean everything, I think you could ask anyone in the country and they would feel the way I do, and the way David James does.'

'Everyone just wants to be involved and play for their country, so if I get the opportunity I'll be the happiest man around.


Fabio Capello men face a formidable USA side in Wednesday nights Wembley friendly - kick-off scheduled for 8:05pm.

He deserves it. I think he'll be a future legend for England. They should get him between the sticks early - we might need him for World Cup Qualifiers and we've seen what can happen when a keeper is thrown in at the deep end in important games (Carson).

joe hart has had a fantastic season - and fully deserves an oportunity to start in the friendlies coming up. we have seen what jamo can do, he will still be englands number one - but we have to start looking to the future, and hart looks like the best young keeper out there.

Good keeper,potentially Englands number one, will learn stacks off of James, his day will come. Still no harm him getting a run out.

Hope he gets a start, although I'm sure that'll trigger all sorts of funny stuff in his contract. Shelling out a fortune!
