Which Striker Will Sparky Choose?

On our last poll, Vital Manchester City regular 'Ghost of 76' asked fans the question...

With an array of strikers, who has the best chance of making Sparky's starting eleven?

Here is the result, in descending order:

New signing - 34%

Valeri Bojinov - 26%

Benjani - 19%

Daniel Sturridge - 6%

Ched Evans - 3%

The following had just 2% of the vote...

Rolando Bianchi, Georgios Samaras, Filipe Caicedo, Nery Castillo Darius Vassell, Émile Mpenza.

City fans think our new signing will be Sparky's first choice striker, however who will it be? To read June's latest transfer rumours, click here.

On our new poll, we ask readers...

Who would you like City to play on the opening day of the season?

To vote, use the poll question to the right hand side of this article.

I reckon your squad is in for an overhual for the second successive summer!

I think Boro would have been top in the poll
Buzz Lightyear
Possibly Buzz. Must admit I didn't think of adding them. Hey-ho!
Tudor
Didn't see enough of The Boj, to judge, but by all reports he would go in a heartbeat. We are still chasing strikers when we should be filling other weaknesses in the squad. I still think Bianchi has something to offer. Sturridge send out on loan for a year like Evans. Must give Evans a try, but watched him on the box for Norwich a couple of times, didn't stand out for me, to get a place in a team looking for Champions league football.
Buzz Lightyear
It's interesting that popular as he was, no-one seems to fancy Bianchi at all! As far as Ched Evans is concerned, John Toshack describes him as a natural finisher, so I'd like to see him given a chance.
Ghost of 76
I think Hughes will bring in a lot of new men over the summer. A decent striker must be one priority.
dazza71
well if bianchi doesnt get injured like the way he did last year i would say he is a good striker with alot of talent and knows how to score goals i suppose we are just going to have to wait and see
