Chris Samba Ready To Follow Sparky

Mark Hughes is preparing to raid his former club and bring Blackburn Rovers 6'4' defender Christopher Samba to Manchester City.

The 24-year-old Frenchman's agent, Leon Lambert told The Sun...

'He was Mark Hughes' discovery, who right now wants him at Manchester City. He could leave for £4million'.

Samba began his career at French club Sedan before moving to Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin in 2004.

Struggling to break into the first team, he was invited by Mark Hughes to undertake a five-day trial at Blackburn Rovers, eventually signing a three and a half year deal for £400,000 on January 25, 2007.

Having impressed, in October 2007, Samba signed a new five-year contract keeping the Republic of Congo international at Ewood Park until the summer of 2012.

Samba is described as strong in the air and surprisingly agile for his size on the ground.

I know I've said this before, but Micah wants to play for England, his best chance at doing that at the moment is at right back, he has to play there, plus the fact that we lost Richards and were struggling for cover in the middle, using ball and Sun. If Dunney goes and I think we could do better, I think JB. said DBV, I agree with that. Dunne good players but lets cash in on him.

Why would Micah want to play for England they don't win anything...and before you say it I know we don't... but in the present setup he has a better chance of winning things with us than at International level. After all we pay his wages and therefore we should play him in the position that best suits the Club.

Completely agree! We owe Boro! Wouldn't have thought Samba could dislodge the Rchards-Dunne partnership but if we can get a decent crack at Europe, we'll need strength in depth. Get him signed up along with Arsharvin and Podolski. Let Chelski have the buck-toothed Brazilian!!!

Samba is worth £10m to Blackburn, if they sell him for £5m they would be crazy, mind you they let Hughes go for £5m when he is worth at least £10m

I don;t think rovers would be willing sellers. I think given the chance he may go but he hasnt said anything yet. Just agent speculation. Would be suprised if this happens... good luck if you sign bents by the way. Plenty of media hogging coming your way!
