Doncaster Rovers Move On Matthew Mills

Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll is hoping to sign Manchester City's Matthew Mills on a permanent basis.

The 21-year-old defender spent two spells on loan at the Keepmoat Stadium last season and is now keen to make the move north.

Talking to the official Doncaster Rovers website, The Vikings boss said...

Matt's keen to come and we've had tentative discussions with his agents and that is ongoing. I'm due to see him again before the end of the week and try to move it on a little bit further.'

'All along, Manchester City have indicated the figure that we'd have to pay for Matt and they have stuck by their guns. When we took him on loan and indicated whether there would be a deal in the future; they indicated the figure and we are happy with that.'

It seems the biggest stumbling block his the wages Mills is looking for. I really do hope he will be at Donny next season though.
