City Sign Brazilian Striker Jo (Video)

After months of negotiations Manchester City have finally signed Brazilian striker Jo for a club record £18million.

The CSKA Moscow star has agreed a four-year deal after he was granted a work permit. The 21-year-old is expected at Eastlands ready for pre-season training, which begins next week.

Moscow president Yevgeni Giner said...

'We are still talking to City but have accepted their offer. They are going to pay us around £18m — but in my opinion he's worth much more.'

'On the other hand, we have no right to destroy his career. Under the circumstances we need to let him go to England.'

Jo has scored a whopping 44 goals in just 77 games during his two seasons for the Russian side.

When Jo arrived at CSKA, he became a real sensation at first, scoring in nearly every game. But then he sort of faded a little. He has a potential to be a big star, but he's equally likely to be a flop, so don't get very excited yet.

Sorry about this but even with the clips I am not convinced about Jo, most of the goals come from good crosses and woeful defending. Takes a good penalty. What we lack is someone to cross the ball into the box for strikers to finish it off. hope I am wrong about this.

He is top drawer when it comes to celebrations! hopefully we'll be seeing his whole repertoire next season! I never go too much on videos anyway, Did anyone see the Samaras video of his time in Holland? he looked like a world beater!
