UEFA Cup Qualifying Draw - 2008/09
Tuesday 1 July will see the draw for the first and second UEFA Cup qualifying rounds. Clubs, including our very own Manchester City will know whom they will face at around 2:30pm.
First qualifying round, 1st leg matches will take place on 17 July while the return 2nd leg ties will follow on 31 July.
Teams entering the first qualifying round are not exactly household names. See if you can recognise any, and if you do, please let us know from which country they originate. Some will be more obvious than others!

Check out the Uefa site, Blues. There's a breakdown of where all the teams participating in the tournament apart from the Champions League drop outs are from. I believe the second qual. round draw is actually on the 1st of August, Tudor, after this round is completed. And as I said on one of Johnny's articles, the first few rounds are seeded and the qualifying rounds are grouped into three groups geographically, so there are only fourteen teams we could actually be drawn against in the 1st qual.

I wasn't criticising, Tudor, my comment(s) were said in good humour I assure you. I just noted that one of the few teams you thought you knew, you got wrong. Apologies for the confusion. And the uefa site appears to say that the 2nd qual. draw is on the 1st of August, but I don't mind either way. One round at a time for me.
