City Release Emile Mpenza

Blues boss Mark Hughes continues his City player clearout by releasing striker Emile Mpenza.

The Belgium born player is one of several first team players who have left the club in a matter of days.

The exodus began yesterday when goalkeeper, Andreas Isaksson joined Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven having put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Others released include Jihai Sun, Geovanni and Paul Dickov.

Scored some vital goals towards the latter end of Pearce's last season to steer us away from relegation, but looked out of his depth when playing last year. He'll certainly do a job for someone though!

Agree OB without his goals, we would have been relegated and no Sven and no Dr T. Always had to go looking for the ball, never had the service and not suited to the 451 system.

we need to change are formation if we want to get somewhere Mpenza was vital for us especially when we had all our injurys
dunne deal
DD spot on, I am sure that is one of the reasons for Sven going. Sparky I hope will shine, am looking forward to see who he selects to bring in of his own choice.
