Bluesy Going Nowhere

At last some clear blue positivity shines out from The City of Manchester Stadium. Bluesy has a job to do...

There will be a collective sigh of relief across Planet Blue tonight which will ease our concerns going into a challenging few days out on the park. The man they called "El Toro" at Barcelona is proving one tough nut for the media, the agents and the club's enemies to crack.

City's official site reports:

Manchester City manager Mark Hughes has totally dismissed suggestions circulating in the media that he is going to leave the club.

"There have been a lot of rumours flying around but I am not going anywhere,' he declares, 'and I don`t anticipate going anywhere.'

"There is speculation around the club and that has been prevalent since I joined the club but from my own point of view I am very focussed on what I am about and what I aim to achieve here and that means success on the pitch," he says.

"Nothing whatsoever has changed in that respect and the football operation hasn`t changed since I signed for the club. Nor has my relationship with Garry Cook and his team. We get on really well and continue to speak on a daily basis.

"I am the guy that makes the decisions in relation to the football, and they make the decisions in relation to the running of the club.'

- Now let's get behind him and the team and win some football matches.

Told you all! :-) Mark is the man!
Official word at last! Now let's all concentrate on the small matter of Thursday's football match in the UEFA Cup. Altogether now ....... BLUE MOON ...... YOU SAW ME STANDING ALONE ..... WITHOUT A DREAM IN MY HEART ..... WITHOUT A LOVE OF MY OWN!
Quite honestly, it's as if he is running the whole shooting match. Here's to his resilience being rewarded!

Top Man Hughesy, anyway it wouldn't look good on his CV.

I think as City 81 said in another article comment, a signing would not go amiss, do we have any money? here we go again!!
Buzz Lightyear
Finally, sod off press speculation and go do something interesting! Anyway if Frank gets done and the FA take City off him, its not Cooks fault or Hughes so we will just get another investor from the USA or Dubai which Gary Cook will be able to sort out because from his time in Nike he must know business people and investors (don't forget he came from Nike a massive company that was and still is successful, plus he’s experienced in sport business, making Michael Jordon (USA Basketball player) a big hit) they will live on with City and we will still be awesome, so we don't need to worry! Future is blue…
Loving your optimism thriller! Loving it!
News breaking from Daily Mail tonight, if true, is that Corluka has put in a transfer request. Watch this space!
Everything about Corluka will become clear in a game Thursday, I think if he play in this round he can not play to another club in the Europ ( I'm not sure ).
city 81
We could always sue all the media saying all these lies and ask for compensation, we could use the money compensated and get another player. HaHa...
The media just won't let it rest an get it wrong AGAIN. Why would he put in atransfer request when he could have moved to Spuds last week. As Thaksin has mentioned today he will be taken out Libel actions agains a lot of these malicious stories.
Have you noticed the pattern lads? EVERY night one of Das Daily Mail, the Rag Mirror or The Sun pump out damaging knife twisting stories against City. The Sundramatically declared that Hughes would quit a couple of days ago. Where do these tw*ts get off? Corluka has been well and truly "agented" over Spurs, there's no two ways about it. Any player who doesn't want to wear the shirt unless the price is right can sod off and that includes Michael "Champions League" Johnson.
Johnny Baguette
City 81 Corluka played in the 2nd Leg at Eastlands against Streymur/EB.
Buzz Lightyear
Anyone know of a striker going for a song? Looks like Santa not coming before Christmas, apparently Ince said it will be a cold dark day before Santa Cruz leaves the club to go to Manchester City.
Buzz Lightyear
are you realy going to belive any story in the news paper they talk some amount of crap thats what i think. If the papers were telling the truth we would have no team at all this year ha ha
dunne deal
that means If/When we sign him he will be cup tied ? :@
Buzz, The first round not important .
city 81
did yous see on sky news another 1 billon pound is to be frozen from sina and that the thailand people are not a huge fan of his. We will have to wait and see what hughes has to say at 3 today it will be interesting
dunne deal
DD ..It just depends on which Thai people they talk to. As in any country in the world half the people are for the regime who are in power and half the people are against them. This also applies to our country.
I suppose so alphi but i dont think anyone likes to have anyone against them and taht aplies for everyone in the world. You would sina would of sorted this all out b4 buying a club he clearly wasnt thinking of the fans and how much love we have for the club
dunne deal
Lets face it DD, we're just a toy for him. We hear a lot of chatter about this 10 year vision of his - the time is to stop talking and deliver, but I cant see there being any substance behind the talk. Hopefully I'm wrong!
I heard that we had to get a 2million loan to pay for the wages is that true i hope its not one of the lads said it to me are things realy gone that bad
dunne deal
It was true DD, the source was excellent and confirmed, but repaid.City 81 Corluka is cup tied in uefa cup and cannot play for Spuds in that competition.
Buzz Lightyear
DD Dr.T does have another billion, he spent it in Guildford.
Buzz Lightyear
ha ha i wouldn be surprised BL. As long as they were repaid thats ok i dont want to think we were in depth even thou we have an owner who is a billionaire whi cant spend his own money its quite funny when you thibnk about it
dunne deal
It does not matter anyway DD, we were in debt before he bought us and we were ok and we will again. If the worst does come we have players to sell which will cover any debt, it just means we have to start again, but what Dr.T has shown prosective purchases is, that we are a viable commodity and worth putting money into.
Buzz Lightyear
Very positive press conference by Hughes last afternoon though I thought.
Hughes standing within the game is growing teh way he is dealing with the current situation.
Johnny Baguette
He has worked with clubs that wheel and deal with little money available, I am sure he will look for several players for a particular position and run down the list until one of the is available and at a fee we can agree with. The club may go into debt but we've been there before, more money is coming into the premier sides and as long as we stay in the top flight and don't pay over the odds for players like chelski do then we will be up there at the end of the season.
Buzz Lightyear
I'm still not happy about us going for yet another striker. Fully fit, surely we can't play RSC, Jo and Boj in the same team. Sturridge and Evans would end up sidelined or loaned out and the hard working Vassell and Etuhu similarly. That money could go on the midfield or LB positions.
Johnny Baguette
We want a right wing, Since SWP go we did not have a really right wing player, We started with Croft who was play a left wing, then come Hattem who was play right back & Last season we dont had any play except Etuhu who play a few game.
city 81
well what abou vassell he isnt doind a bad job now is he or even put corluka up there and put ben haim in defence
dunne deal
