FC Midtjylland Info & Video

Manchester City take on FC Midtjylland in the UEFA Cup second qualifying round first leg on Thursday, but how much do we actually know about the Danish side?

Football Club Midtjylland was founded a mere nine years ago after two minor Danish teams decided to merge.

FC Midtjylland play in the Danish Superliga, which has 12 teams and is the top league in Denmark.

Their home ground, SAS Arena has a capacity of around 12,000; however, it is a rare occasion to see the stadium full.

The club achieved their best ever European adventure during season 2002/03 when they lost to Belgium side Anderlecht in the UEFA cup second qualifying round.

I am not being unkind here to FC Matalan, but some of that defending and goalkeeping were to say the least very poor. Ihope I can say that our defense is not as leaky as some we have seen on the clip.

We could do with a convincing win tomorrow. Must admit they can play football but when it comes to the big occasion they'll probably bottle it.

Yes Tudor but who were the opposition, we are in the top league in the world and have far better players. We should, if we do not under estimate this team, wrap up the tie tonight.

I got the chance to see them play in Copenhagen last April against F.C. Kobenhavn. Midjytland won convincingly 3-0 I believe it was. They are no pushover.

Considering all that has gone on surrounding City this past fortnight, an early Blues goal is essential. Especially if The Boj gets it and gets the crowd going!
