City Without Dunne For Villa Clash

Many Manchester City fans have put the 8-1 hammering at Middlesbrough on the final day of last season well in the back of their minds, however, just in case you needed reminding, skipper Richard Dunne was sent off on that dreadful day and will miss Sunday's opener against Aston Villa.

Nevertheless, the 29-year-old Republic of Ireland defender is expected to travel with the rest of the City players for Sunday Villa Park curtain raiser.

City boss Mark Hughes can pick his starting eleven from the following:

Hart, Corluka, Onuoha, Richards, Ben Haim, Ball, Garrido, Fernandes, Hamann, Ireland, Johnson, Etuhu, Elano, Bianchi, Bojinov, Evans, Sturridge, Castillo, Schmeichel, Caicedo.
