Villa Are A Good Side - Hughes

After the shock one nil defeat against part time Danish side FC Midtjylland on Thursday, City boss Mark Hughes is determined to rally the troops and get the new campaign off to a winning start.

Talking to the official Man City website Sparky said...

'Villa are a good side and have been for a couple of seasons now. They've certainly established themselves as one of the main teams in the top 10, which we obviously anticipate that we will be.'

'So if we can take points off them early in the season then that might help us at the end.'

Score prediction: 1-1

Crowd prediction: 38,655

1-1! You're havin' a laugh! I predict a claret & blue riot...5-0 Villa.

As much as I feel for City at the moment, they're going through some tough times, I feel Villa will be up for this one more than Spark's team. 3-0 to Villa, I don't see where your goals are going to come from unless they're from midfield/set pieces (Elano/Petrov)

And the crowd prediction, I think will be closer to 41000 or 42000.

I don't see where your goals are going to come from? Hmmm... Maybe by Strikers hitting the back of the net? Bojinov? Sturridge? 3 - 1 City

3-1? Are you crazy? This wont even be close, a Villa whitewash.

A Villa whitewash? Why, are you planning some painting tomorrow afternoon?

I think Villa fans seem to forget we are unbeaten in six visits in their backyard.

Bojinov who? Isn't he that bloke who couldn't make the first team for the entire of 07/08 season? And as for Sturridge, he only scores against clubs from lower divisions. Come on mcfcthriller, be realistic.

Boj couldn't make the first team coz he was out injured for 10 months. Hopefully he'll be sharp enough tomorrow but we'll see. Still say a draw is a good result for us!
