'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Confirmed: Vincent Kompany Is A Man City Player

Manchester City has a new central defender in Belgium born Vincent Kompany, according to the HSV Hamburg official website.

The 22-year-old is described as one of Europe's premier talents having won several awards in Belgium when he played for Anderlecht, including the 'Belgian Golden Shoe' award.

Manchester City Football Club is expected to announce a press conference before the weekend.

'We wish Vincent all the best for his future,' Dietmar Beiersdorfer, the Hamburg director of football, said.

I notice he only came on for the last ten minutes in the friendly last month.

DD ..Why is Caicedo and Castillo missing from your worst signings list ???
alphieblues
I'm sure DD could have added several more names, however the poll template only allows 14 possibilities. How about we start our own City worst signings here. I'll start...ex nugget Stuart Pearce!
Tudor
I hear the figure is around the £6m and he could be in the squad for Saturday's home game against West Ham. Happy days!
Tudor
DD, Put Kompany with them, Maybe after a month we vote for him :)
city 81
Have the faith city 81, Kompany looks pure quality.
Tudor
£6 mill for Sam Harris was a shocker. Out worsened Lee Bradbury, Steve Daley ect by a country mile. What worries me about the new lad is he has played only 28 games for SV across two seasons. He will have to go some to be up to the rigours of the Premier League. Now if Corkuka goes, we want a profit or swap deal for a right winger. We have blooded that lad in The Prem and that is worth something.

Tudor, All the players who signed with them they was pure quality ( Special when watch thim in YOUTUBE )
city 81
i think kompany is a great signing when he signs or should is ay if he signs. He is b ig and young and thats the goos thing about man city we have alot of young talent
dunne deal
Vuoso, £3m never played and sold him for £1m, at least Sam Harris played and scored.
Buzz Lightyear
well we would definatly have to make a profit out of corluka cause he has turned into a great defender for the premier league. I still dont understand why he didint go for a left back
dunne deal
Maybe he will still go for a LB, dd but whose out there with experience? Remember the rags brining in Evra from the continent and if I recall correctly, SWP slaughtered him and he was withdrawn at HT. Calling the utility man Danny Mills.....Vuoso, of course. Absolutely brutal.
Johnny Baguette
ah god they were bad times thou very bad times but now we are a team looking for a european spot and we dont even have a proper LB
dunne deal
We have a 2 proper ones DD it is just that they are garbage at defending.
Buzz Lightyear
Let's try Rigsby Petrov there to wrongfoot the Hammers! Was Mark Bowen a left back??!!
Johnny Baguette
ha ha well we might aswell stick elano there aswell were hasnt he played for us last season ha ha
dunne deal
I knew he reminded me of someone JB, thanks LOL
Buzz Lightyear
We have him on a four year deal - fee undisclosed.
Tudor
Hopefully he'll be in the squad for Sundays game against West Ham.
Tudor
So its confirmed he is signed well that came out of no where may i say didnt see that happening at all. Maybe hughes see's a problem with the defence or something
dunne deal
