Pearce to sign new deal?

Reports in today's Manchester Evening News are suggesting that Stuart Pearce is close to signing a new, two year rolling contract worth a near 1 million a year.

With speculation increasing that Psycho will play some role in the next England set up, the City board appear keen to get Pearce to put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at the club for the near future.

The fact that only two years are on the table will only add to speculation however that Pearce's ultimate ambition is to manage his country.
