City Phoenixes Dig Deep And Our Season Takes Off

FT: FC Midtjylland 0 Manchester City 1 (Agg: 1-1, City win 4-2 on pens)

I blame my old man again. It's all his fault, but I wouldn't have it any other masochistic way after City's shadow chasing performance against a determined FC Midtjylland suddenly exploded into an enthralling Battle of Jutland and a crucial European victory. A classic cup tie.

Time to stop reading the rumours for a while and worrying about off field developements. Credit where it is due to Mark Hughes and his young side for focusing on their game and reaping the rewards. Ched Evans and Joe Hart have got some bottle.

Credit too to the senior professionals for stepping up to the plate and steadying those penalty nerves when it mattered. Spare a thought too for the battling Danes who looked fitter and stronger than City for long periods. Their striker Baba Collins must be devastated after his nightmare misses.

My only cause for concern was Bluesy opting to experiment with Richards in midfield and starting with Beijing Jo from the off. Not the time to do it considering the impact this game would have on our season, but he got away with it and we can now all look forward to tomorrow's lunchtime UEFA Cup 1st Round draw in Monaco.

The Feel Good factor is returning to Sport City and we will go to Sunderland on Sunday with Shaun Wright-Phillips attacking down the right flank and Rigsby Petrov on the left.

SWP and Dunneymonster are the only City survivors of November 2003's UEFA exit in Poland. Now they have a chance to banish the ghosts of Groclin.

See you on the continent and hold on to the Euro Dream!

Incredible! an Obsessed rag gives us a visit! Excellent stuff. Must be getting worried again. Still only beat us 4 out of 12 league games since we got promoted. 4 out of 13 this November. How's Dimitar?

Never give up, that should be our motto. We've had a few come backs, but still can't watch penalties my nerves wont stand it. Had to wait for Jb's updates and then watched the recording.Thats sad.

where who said 3-0 !! :)) , The Danish team is a good team, They have agood Coach, But he made one mistake over the 180 minutes, When he thought that the game finish and send off his best players in the last two minutes.
