Great Debuts?

Great Debuts?

After watching Sunday's game I was so impressed by Kompany's debut that it got me thinking who else had made such an obvious impact after playing after only a couple of days of signing.

Clearly the greatest example in recent seasons was Ali Bernabia against Birmingham on 15th September 2001. His creativity was the key for City to winning the first division title in 2002.

Another great debut and influential figure was Andy Morrison when he signed at the end of October 1998 and we beat Colchester 2-1 that day and went on to play really well for most of the rest of the season to finish third and have that historic day at Wembley.

Is there any other impact players in the recent past that you can think of; have your say in our Comments at the bottom of the article.

I can remember TF hitting a brace against Stoke City. He was some player Francis. Just those injuries.

Bernado Corradi's against Chelsea. We lost 3-0, he was **** and then got sent off! That was memorable I suppose!
