'If It's Football, It's Vital'

City Squad Gets Stronger

The Blues have completed the signing of Argentinian international Pablo Zabaleta from Espanyol for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old adds further versatility to what looks to be a more and more youthful and dynamic City squad. Zabaleta can play at right back or in midfield.

A five-year deal has been sealed at SportCity after Zabaleta returned from the Beijing Olympics, where he helped his country to a gold medal.

This latest top drawer signing will elevate the feel good factor around the club right now as we go into battle at Sunderland.

Bluesy spoke to mcfc.co.uk: 'We feel the addition of Pablo is another great signing for Manchester City.

'He's young and a winner, with an Olympic gold medal to prove that, but more so he will provide us with great balance in the side.

'I'm very happy to bring him here and hopefully we can get a good result at Sunderland to round off what has been a very satisfactory week indeed for us.'

It's another one in the eye for the sports hacks whose talk of a City implosion has evaporated.

Glauber Berti has signed on a one-year deal. Another Brazilian joins the City ranks.
Tudor
Zabaleta an oustanding signing. Obviously the catalyst of Charlie going to Spurs!
