City Target Dimitar Berbatov

Manchester City are believed to be in the hunt for Tottenham's Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov.

With the transfer clock ticking City are going to have to move fast, especially with the Reds locked in transfer talks with the 27-year-old.

Should the deal go through, new owners, Abu Dhabi United Group for Development and Investment will be more than pleased to splash out £28m for the six foot three forward.

A strike force of Berbatov, Owen, Jo, Bojinov...what a thought
alphieblues
Please buy him Citeh - then we can both get one over on Scum U....
Biggie169
agree biggie.. Want City to sign him.
The Tailor
We'd probably sell to city both to get him out the way and spite Utd, can't see him being too keen on the move tho
Phartman87
WE have offered a world record transfer fee for Berbatov. Blimey, I feel giddy!!
Tudor
C'mon Petrov ring Berba...tell him to come and join you. Then Citeh can do the double over Scum U again.... COYS
Biggie169
I'm not being disrespectful but he's not gonna leave spurs for man city He wants to play in champs league and challenge for a cup this season Plus he's a sulker he will spoil your team spirit
Jonni_G
no disrespect but so did Petrov when Spurs were in for him.... look what happened?
Biggie169
Please Citeh buy him, I dont want him 2 go 2 those 'Orrible C-LI-N-T-S down the road from u lot. However, as good as he is, would u really want the miserable C-LI-N-T there? The only thing standing in your way is that Berbatov wouldnt want to sign for you and I dont mean it in a disrespectful way City, but if Berba was to go to you it would be a massive backwards step from where he is right now.
ExiL
ha ha ha ha ha hilarious! one of citeeeehs best players leaves for spurs, so vital man city say berba to eastlands because you have a new owner?....genious, how did you ever get that idea???? LOL
lillywhites101
I say lets feck off that scotch bastad and really rub his nose in it. Frazer Cambell? Who the feck does SIr tawt face think he is. Seeya later berbanator!
bullers
petrov joined man city over spurs because he was promised more playing time, he said that himself you plank!
lillywhites101
Cant believe I would ever have said this but so hope he goes to City. It would be great business for us and would just love to see the reaction of old red nose. COYS
nice1cyril
Petrov went to City because we ended our interest in him. We refused to pay the fee deanded by Athletico and he publicly stated that he wanted to join Spurs then quickly retracted it to go on to sign for City who offered him more money. Same thing happened with Lucas Neill. Liverpool wanted him and were willing to pay him £40k a week, yet West Spam offered him £75k a week and club captaincy and he took it. TOP TOP Players dont do this though which is why I (unfortunately) think Berba will still sign for MANURE
ExiL
I have been Spurs for ever & I have to say I think this deal is unlikley to go through as I think Berba is set on UTD, however if it does I am gona be laughing for weeks. Come on Citeh! LOL
stu_u2k
Berbatov will join his mate Rigsby because he knows he will be a regular choice and will be in the Champions League next season.
alphieblues
Correct Exil we matched the fee £4.7m I believe just didn't want to pay the extortionate salary - wasn't down to playing time Lillywhite - because if it was down to playing time I think we have been short of a LW for a while...
Biggie169
Why would Berbatov leave for Man City WHEN THE POINT IN HIM LEAVING IS FOR CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOOTBALL?
dazspurs
I would prefer if Berba went abroad... and Scum U have only 2 strikers available....without a plan B
Biggie169
lillywhites101, all the main newswires are reporting City's bid.
Johnny Baguette
If Citeh do sign him this will be the icing on the cake.... Whiskeys all round.... red nose would be laughing stock of the premeir leauge... come on Citeh
Biggie169
Looks like the deal will go through tonight. That will ***** the rags off big time!
Tudor
why so many yids in here?
klinsi
because there are yids everywhere:)
asherthesmasher
we all know berba wont sign for citeh. im glad the bid happened though, maybe unted will get there azz in gear and make the same bid
asherthesmasher
from a spurs fan perspective, i have always liked man city over man u. so, i hope that if indeed berba goes, he goes to city. btw, this is first time i am writing on a forum other than spurs' !! good luck to y'all although i still harbor hopes of berba staying with us.
hardcore_spurs
lol this is genius, as a spurs fan i how you guys buy him. would make my day, 1. we finally get rid of him and the saga is over and 2. (most importantly!!!! he doesnt go to man u. lillywhite before you start mouthing off you should have a look around the internet this story is everywhere not made up for vital man city. your embarrassing and spurs. plank!
spoon_platoon
is it just me, but dont u think corluka is over rated? what u think citeh?
asherthesmasher
I really genuinely hope you get him City. The fact that he has burned all bridges now at spurs, means he wont play again for us so as long as United dont get him and we get the full reported £28m, I will be on with a congratulatory cheer for you all
ExiL
Oh and welcome ye Spurs fans. Nice to have you on-board. I hear Berbatov just left Stanstead airport for Manchester. An official announcement should be made within hours. Happy days!
Tudor
tudor to uniter or citeh?
asherthesmasher
City - without doubt £35million at a guess
Tudor
dear asher, tudor is site journalist for citey :)
hardcore_spurs
hah hah..heres to dreaming...
asherthesmasher
how bout that corluka then? over rated or what?
asherthesmasher
As they say in Droylesden, my shed's just gone.
Johnny Baguette
Was amazed Corluka signed a 6-year deal. One of the longest on record I would have thought. Yes, he is quality through and through. I would also say his best years are still ahead of him. Good signing guys.
Tudor
Apparantly Charlie and Modric are best friends. He stayed on the pitch after the Sunderland thrashing to say goodbye. Pace is his problem, but technically superb.
Johnny Baguette
Could the prospect of linking up with Rigsby Petrov and Bojinov The Raging Bulgarian swing Berbatov away from The Swamp?
Johnny Baguette
spoon plantoon u silly abortion....it was m.e.n that started it and everyone else has jumped on the bandwagon
lillywhites101
Haha I LOVE IT!!! Berbatov to City!!! 32million!!!! A big Up Yours to Fergie from Daniel Levy and Manchester City. And you have to laugh at Berbatov. Youve been a big baby despite being a Hero at Spurs and now youve only engineered a move to Man City haha!!! W*nker!!!! And even if he rejects Man City, Manure will be forced to up there bid by millions and Levy will have won. And Corluka has signed!!! Im sooo Happy!!!
HuddersfieldYiddo
I feel sick. :(
united4life
yeah nice one lillywhite way to go to show your not a tit!!! the BID has been ACCEPTED. lol lol go citeh! lol
spoon_platoon
The boy is ours! Poor old rags.
Tudor

asherthesmasher

Jonni_G
