Tottenham Accept Berbatov Bid

Mark Hughes has told Sky Sports News that Spurs have accepted Manchester City's shock bid for Dimitar Berbatov.

Hughes revealed that a fee had been agreed with Tottenham and he now plans to hold talks with the player himself. The fee is expected to be a new British record, in excess of £30million.

Hughes said...

'I'm as stunned and excited by this as the fans are.'

Dimitar Berbatov left Stansted airport earlier this afternoon bound for Manchester, whereby he will discuss personal terms and have a medical.

An official announcement is expected this evening.

please oh please sign him!! fantastic player that he is...he is not welcome at our club anymore. he and manu will get what they deserve if this deal happens and 35mill will be very welcome
asherthesmasher
that is banter, im a tottenham fan if he goes there its for the money! he wantd champ league football and he will be going there for the same as us uefa cup! 34mil is good money! its good becase hes a sulky rat and for once might not get his own way!
j dog!
This is absolutely hilarious. Take a sulky ******** who wants Champions League football...he starts moaning at current club. Looks set for Man U and his dream. Man City come in, offer £34million, Berbatov gets silly money at Man City, playing for arguably a club that is slightly behind or very similar and realises that he shouldnt of turned the Spurs players against him. Fergie starts crying. Spurs in the money. All is good :D
dazspurs
This will teach Fergie for tapping him up!!hahahah
juande-a-legend
Haha I LOVE IT!!! Berbatov to City!!! 35million!!!! A big Up Yours to Fergie from Daniel Levy and Manchester City. And you have to laugh at Berbatov. Youve been a big baby despite being a Hero at Spurs and now youve only engineered a move to Man City haha!!! W*nker!!!! And even if he rejects Man City, Manure will be forced to up there bid by millions and Levy will have won. And Corluka has signed!!! Im sooo Happy!!!

Buzz Lightyear
The rags can go a feck off. Berbatov is ours, hopefully.
Tudor
This is a bit petty this but lets put a bid in for Rooney and Ronaldo, that would shove a rocket up 'em and its obvious they don't like it up'em. It made Red nose get out of bed and off to the airport sharpish. Have the rags actually put a bid in. As one supporter on ssn says its not where Beratov ends up that matter, it having the ability to gazump the rags whenever we want. The suns coming out.
Buzz Lightyear
