Real Madrid Agree To Sell Robinho *UPDATE*

Sky Sports News are saying Real Madrid has accepted a £32.5million bid from Manchester City and Robinho will sign within the hour.

The Brazilian has agreed personal terms and will receive £92,000 a week. A source close to City said the club has faxed the Madrid giants with all the appropriate paperwork and all it needs now is for the 24-year-old striker to sign. Once done and the Premier League ratify the deal, one of the best forwards in the world will become a Manchester City player.

Stay tuned for further updates.

Come on City! Get the deal done then we can all come down off the ceiling!
oliverblue
What a crazy day. Come on Robinho, put us and the Chelsea fans out of our misery.
Tudor
this cant happen, its immoral!
SouthendBlue
I've gone into meltdown!
oliverblue
You just hit the nail on the head SouthendBlue.
stillthewhizz
it does seems a little harsh... ...although nicking berbatov off man u would just be funny...
pompeycarpet
dimitar who???
delinho
Look to this picture LOOOOOOOOL http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2008/09/01/article-0-027C327A00000578-646_468x309.jpg

Class t-shirt that guy has on.

Can you guys confirm that Robinho will be linking up in training with the one and only Danny Mills? If so that's ******** hilarious.
stillthewhizz
Talk of a loan deal now just to force it through .........
oliverblue
Not enough time for a medical - looks like we have him on loan until January when he will sign.
Tudor
Gotta laugh, Chelsea let SWP go to make way for Robinho onlyfor you lot to end up with both of them.
Little Dutch
We give you SWP and this is how we get repaid -.-'
k_chelski
The worlds going mad!!!
storagematt
Yes LD, we see the irony.
k_chelski
SSN now saying Real Madrid are SELLING, not loan, SELLING Robinho to Manchester City.
Tudor
Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon on Spanish television station VEO: "We have agreed to sell the player for human reasons, for footballing reasons and for an important quantity of money." So, Robinho seems certain to be on his way to Manchester City
ehabfarouk1973
Human reasons? Ha ha ha the world has gone mad. One week of Robinho's potential wages would be enough to feed the mouths of those in Manchester's slums.
stillthewhizz
Next match Chelski facing SWP & ROBINHO !!!
alphieblues
Thanks for that stillthewhizz - you're comments are thought provoking, NOT!
Tudor
Hahaha sadly I'm actually happy you've got Robinho! Let's the keep the class players in Manchester but the world class players at United ;)
ForeverUnited
The deal is done. ROBINHO is a CITY player.
Tudor
and the world has fallen apart!
pompeycarpet
Can we have Benji back you pilfering ********s?
stillthewhizz
Real Madrid have it on their official site. Go to our forum for the link.
Tudor
The going rate is £32.5m stillthewhizz!
oliverblue
Got to say, it's been a good day's work for Man City. You got Manu to up their bid for Berbatov and you signed Robinho from under Chelsea's nose. Hats off to you. :-)
JohnDoe
Done deal Oliver, if you promise to either purchase David Nugent for £62m or one of your new owners parks a tanker of oil outside my manor.

I get you JohnDoe, but weren't Chelsea going to pay £19m for Robinho?
stillthewhizz
it's not official yet
ten men
Why would I care if that's the case stillthewhizz, I'm a Liverpool fan, anything that upsets Manu and Chelsea is fine with me. :)
JohnDoe
Can we have Benji back now please?
pompey4me
SIGNED FOR CITY MUST BE THE MONEY ? WTF
123spurs
It's official now - £34million
Tudor
It's official! Check out www.mcfc.co.uk. Yeeeeeehah!
oliverblue
I guess so JohnDoe, but as a Pompey fan I can look at football in the broader prospective.
stillthewhizz
Four-year deal
Tudor
The Fact is REAL are arrogant and since they were unhappy with us they made this move just to hit back both to us and Robinho.I am sorry but only money will definitely not make MAN CITY a perfect club(UEFA CUP!) for a player like Robinho. Its clearly MADRID WAS ARROGANT and THEY JUST HIT BACK.I guarante u if we even bid higher than MAN CITY RMAD would not accept it.How about signing only for 4 year and then terminating his contract and joining us??Who knows may be Robinho used MAN CITY as the alternate way from REAL TO CHELSEA.
Saimon_blues
*****ing off chelsea and man u cant really compensate how this league will go completly mad. Liverpool will likely be the most to sufer from man city gtting rich, as arsenal seem to grow there talents without spending, and chelsea and man u both have plenty of spare cash - but liverpool could struggle. however the worst bit, is that we now have Pompey, Everton, Blackburn, West Ham, Newcastle, Sunderland, and Villa all competing for one euro spot (behind spurs and man city). Thats just ridiculas!
pompeycarpet
Unbelievable. Thanks for stopping one of my favourite players from going to Chelski.
ArsenalRob
stillthewhizz, it a bit hypocritical on your part to criticize Man City for spending their owners money. Pompey were yearly relegation candidates before Gaydamak bought you, and you only started to finish in the top half of the league by spending his money. Why wouldn't Man City do the same? It's not their fault that they have more money than you.
JohnDoe
now thts just cruel...
BlueJuggernaut
steppin stone any one more money n mean time.............looks like hes doing a berbatov to me
123spurs
JohnDoe - if you look at the figures, it doesnt look like we have been spending our chaimens money at all! in fact, his total worth is estimated at £30million - less than we spent last summer - and significantly less than our total spending in the time frame. In fact, just on TV revenue, you could easily fund all the purchases, and a substancial amount of players wages. add to that the prize money we have won, and gate reciepts, as well as merchendise sales... anyway, my point is, Sascha physicly cant have been funding it, he just doesnt have the cash - and since the end of last summer, we have had to sell before we buy for ever purchase. ...I think us pompey fans are in a PERFEDCTLY good position to comment on the wider pespective of football :-)
pompeycarpet
this is crazy SWP gone on the cheap and now Robinho stolen from us you b@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
starginga
got to agree with carpet, the pompey situation is sliiiightly different to the man city one. well done on getting robinho. wow. that was unexpected.
jbaker
pompeycarpet, Pompey spent a net of 20 mil last summer, third or fourth most in the league if memory serves. That wasn't just TV money, otherwise all clubs would've spent the same.
JohnDoe
I never once moaned about Citeh's higher spirits paying the money. What I was having a dig at was the way football in general is going. I admit that if you put me in a Citeh fan's shoes, I would be getting carried away. But like Carpet said, it's quite clear we haven't gone mad and spent all of our owners money and any excess that we seemed to spend has had to be recuperated this summer.
stillthewhizz
lol, gotta congratualte you. I said hold the braggn til you have somethign to brag about...now you do! We got berba so im estactc and thinking about it I am glad u got Robinho over Chelscum. Oh well, look forward to the battles in the season...could it soon becoem a top-5???????????????
united4life
Result. Berbatov heading for 30. Robinho 24.
Johnny Baguette
Well as a Blue- A Pompey fan, not one of you lot- down here in west of our country, I would just like to say Congratulations on your investment. I always get on well with Citeh Boys and share a loathing of the glory hunting southern Reds( Lpool or Utd ) who should be supporting their own teams, any way..I am very jealous but like us your support is voracious and loyal albeit you being a bigger club proportionally. Lets just hope you dont get the la de dah chelsea johnny come lately types in now. I heard a chelsea from the old school said he was talking to a guy in his 40's in a chelski shirt who had never heard of Kerry Dixon... Good luck..seee you in Istanbul
plymouth graham
Well what a fantatsic night went out played football broke my foot great stuff. But just got home in time to see man city sign Robino so i was back smiling again so i couldn complain
dunne deal
The rest of us will watch & see! A bit jealous obviously but good luck from us at Pompey at smashing the big 4. Now see if you can win something like we did!!! PS. Can we have Benjani back???
storagematt
I hope that if this does take off, that we don't become arrogant fans like those from the swamp.I don't want to become the most hated club in the country, I want The Rags to retain that title.Yes its nice to have money to compete and that all I want is to be able to do is compete.
Buzz Lightyear
Storagematt, Benji is your SWP, his heart is at Pompey and I am positive he did not want to leave, but whether 'Arry wants him back thats another question. I would keep him at City he will enjoy playing with the likes of JO and Robinho.
Buzz Lightyear
Great news for City, and p@@@@d Chelski off as well.
Tiny T
not *****ed off;) you smashed the british transfer record on a player that doesn't even deserve that tag
pulse
i wonder how he'll find Salford Quays and Moss Side :-)
merlin
There's only One Manchester! and by the looks of it it's gonna be you in a couple of years :) Good luck to you .. you have been out in the cold for too long... haha! now you will witness that money can buy you everything! But you will get ur ass kicked so hard by Chelsea next game you better believe it :) You will never be number one :) Mark my words.. but i hope you do get 2nd place if it's any consolation :) good luck y'all!
Rune3k
Fanx for all the kind words. I expect being a City fan won't be the same.
