Whilst I agree with the result the player that impressed me most was Jo who won every ball in the air, something we have lacked for a while, once we gel as a team not only will he score a lot of goals he will also provide a lot of them.

Looking at the summary of the season so far it appears to me that we have a good half dozen players who will be in contention for MOTM throughout the season. Hughes has been strengthening us in depth and I can see Jo, Robinho, SWP, Kompany, Petrov and Elano regularly getting the MOTM on top of the great yougsters Richards, Johnson, Hart and Ireland. It does look good for the future. All we need now is time for the changes to gel and for Hughes to bring the very best out of the squad
