he's shown me he's not worth the money you paid for him!

The Robinho problem is: Everybody wants to cut the ball from him, and then each of them goes to they girlfriend telling her he today cut the ball from Robinho ( WOW ) and maybe he Can not sleep the night a joy from the achievement he achieved .

He wasn't on his game today probably due to the fact that he has been to Brazil and back this week. I expect a much better performance from him on Thursday and then the real tester on Sunday.

Didnt impress me today, thought Ireland was your best player

alphieblues, We need another star, Robinho alone can not do anything, worbo, Congratulations and I hope you continue in this good performance.

2 goals in 3 games...get a life fella's the lad barely had a kick of the ball yet... sorry he hasnt impressed you in 3 games in a new team and league. already scored more than berbatov!

He's looked alright. Hard to judge someone after just a few games. But lets be honest, he was never going to be awful was he? You won't know till the end of the season. Elano had a great first few months and then faded slightly.

i dont think that he is mature enough to be the focal point for building a team....elano is a better option

Didn't like the physical aspect of yesterday's game, which was pretty much expected, but it is still early days. He'll have learned a lot at the JJB, like reputations count for nothing in the English game. Give him time to adapt, because there is no doubt he has the ability.

Robinho is of course a very special talent. He can do things with the ball most other players will never be able to do. But how successful he is in the Premiership for City is actually not just down to him and his individual skills. He has shown by his workrate that he is prepared to be a team player -- and the team needs to understand how to get the most out of him. If you look at his stats over the years there is a very clear trend. When he was at Santos he was played an out-and-out striker and despite his youth (2002 to 2005 this) he got 44 goals in 104 appearances (1 in 2.36). That is impressive any way you look at it. So impressive that Real Madrid came in for him. While in Spain he was regularly played on the wing (the side wasn't short of strikers!). His return was still very good for a winger; 25 goals in 101 appearances (1 in 4). His goals return is better as a striker than a winger. No surprise there. Okay, so how can City get the most out of Robinho? First, we need to get Petrov back in the side. We have suffered without him. Last season showed he is one of the best left wingers in Europe. With Petrov playing wide Robinho is then freed to "roam" as Elano says, in the spaces around Jo and working his magic with SWP and Petrov. That way we'll get more goals from Robinho and Jo -- Petrov and SWP too. Yes it's been a big learning curve for Robinho -- but it's a learning curve for the whole team as well!!

He's top drawer and will slay many teams this season.

If he tries to do too many fancy flicks and unnecessary stepovers like Ronaldo used to do, he won't do that well. But still some ways to go until you really get to see the best of him.
ForeverUnited
You're right in what you say ForeverUnited. It will take time for him to settle into a new country and league, just as your man did. Give him that time, and everyone will see what all the fuss is about.

Games further on and I'm still very impressed with Robinho. But he needs more time to settle in, and I'm not sure how beneficial all the international trips are proving. He will come more than good. He could be the best ever...
