'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sun Remove Spurs Story As Writer Is Sacked

Sun sports writer and tabloid freelancer Ian McGarry has been relieved from his duties following complaints from officials.

The original story published in Friday's Sun featured an article whereby Mr McGarry wrote a so-called exclusive when it was alleged Tottenham officials had been in contact with Manchester City boss Mark Hughes about a £20million five-year-deal move to White Hart Lane.

The official Tottenham website was quick to rubbish the story...

The Club largely refrains from making statements of this nature unless absolutely necessary in order to set the record straight in light of wholly inaccurate reporting.

An article on the back page of this morning's Sun newspaper reports that the Club has made an offer to Mark Hughes to take over as manager during the forthcoming international break.

This story is completely untrue and without foundation and the matter is being discussed with the publication.

Now that Ian McGarry has spare time on his hands, what profession should he take up now?

Liable

Vital Manchester City would like to point out that neither the Sun or Mr McGarry has made a statement, although we would like to reiterate that our source is the same one as used by Ian during his original masterpiece.

Ramos next...
lincolnblue
thought it was april 1st, but no it still Autumn and its still raining and the media are still trying to unsettle City. Ramos is a good manager, we wanted him, so he must be good apart from his judgement. Spuds will not go down, but they won't set the world on fire either.
Buzz Lightyear
has OB got the odds re next manager to go?
Buzz Lightyear
I reckon Ian McGarry should take up reading tea leaves.
Tudor
he'd only make it up what he saw in them, apart from he has no future.Fancy getting sacked from the sun for telling porkies, he'd get a job on the Mirror no problem.
Buzz Lightyear
so can I have a new back page seeing as I've been ripped off this morning?
merlin
The sun has re-published the article, this time with a new journalist... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/article1761968.ece
Tudor
I reckon Ramos has had it.
Johnny Baguette
Have to agree with you Johnny Baguette. The bloke is skating on thin ice and unless the results improve, the bloke is history.
Tudor
Yes but why change now, they have adecent squad, it is all about bonding, we did it quicker last season, but then again we sold them Charlie and we know defeding wasn't his strong point, it was his going forward that caught the eye.
Buzz Lightyear

Ghentis
It's media crap again. He speaks English to the players but doesn't speak to the press in English because he knows they will twist any mistakes and make a story out of it. Can't believe the Sun sacked a journalist for lying. how do they have any staff left?!!
GuySpur
lol If only the Daily Mail will follow suit...
