SWP Expected To Start For England

Manchester City's very own Shaun Wright-Phillips is expected to start in Saturday's England World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan.

In-form and recently rejuvenated SWP has been on fire since returning to Manchester from Chelsea and should oust Theo Walcott for the right-wing spot.

Three Lions boss Fabio Capello is expected to field the following starting 11.

James, Johnson, Ferdinand, Brown, A Cole, Lampard, Barry, Wright-Phillips, Gerrard, Rooney, Heskey.

come on chaps - is he better since his time with us?

Much better Merlin, the closet City fan! Like he says, he has come home. We loaned him to Chelski just to get his hunger back. Now he is back at City, and he'll become a legend.

Merlin. SWP is a better player for spending time at the Bridge despite being restricted and not really given his chance. He says he has improved for being at Chelsea so you won't hear City fans who know and trust him doubt that at all. But Manchester City will see the best of him. He is Back, Better and ready to show his Best!
Sindbad
Hope he does get a chance to show his worth. Good luck to him and the rest of the team!

The man who has an opportunity this weekend is Capello. Is he going to show some of the courage he was renowned for before he came to England? The man who would make his own mind up? I hope so. Because if he starts with SWP he will have signalled to the football world that the players who are in form, with the most skill and commitment, will get their opportunity. We will see.

just watch SWP go !....

Will be annoyed if Theo Walcott gets the nod over SWP.
Tudor
Sounds as though Tudor is going to be annoyed! Word on the street is that Theo is in!

Be ridiculous if Crapello chooses Walcott over SWP.

5-1. Sounds like our Shaun helped lift the side from it's malaise!!

SWP had a good game -- especially as Capello played him out of position as a left winger. The first half had an England side suffering from amnesia. They had forgotten how to make a decent pass. They had forgotten how to make a shot on goal. The German caretaker-manager Storck had got the Kazakhstan side very well organised. They had so many young debut players it was a fantastic first half for them. When SWP came on there was an increase in confidence. I'm not sure why exactly, but everything seemed easier for England. SWP did himself no harm and kept trying till the end.
Sindbad
Good news. But once again Crapello plays players out of position. It's almost as if some of these managers are tinkering to look clever!
