Vital MC Man Of The Match Awards Update

Manchester legend Ian Curtis once sang about 'Heart and Soul' and that is what Shaun Wright-Phillips puts into his Manchester City performances...

...he's our Vital Man City MOTM in the debacle at Newcastle.

There were times last night that SWP was going at The Barcodes almost single handedly and sadly it just wouldn't come off for all his efforts.

So we have a repeat of the Liverpool vote with Academy graduates SWP and Ireland coming in first and second, giving us yet another indicator of how the City form book is shaping up.

Six Academy lads featured in the fourteen. That's something to be proud of.

Close again between SWP and Ireland, but a generally poor performance overall. Stoke wont take any prisoners on Sunday, so we'll have to get our house in order and fast.

With a performance like that it is always difficult to focus your mind on who is MOTM.

He the best bad .

SWP never stops trying. He was our best player when he left for Chelsea, and he's our best player now as well.
Sindbad
Would'nt it be great if all our players had his attitude and performed like he does every week.....
