Shaun Wright Phillips In Two Fingered Shocker

Shaun Wright Phillips In Two Fingered Shocker

Google language translator

Russell Brand? Jonathan Woss? Joe 'Kinnell? Next in line for purgatory is our very own SWP, now staring down the barrel of an FA inquiry. Good grief...

Nevermind Stephen Ireland's Superman underpants and Joey Barton's Everton bumcheek smile for City, Shaun Wright-Phillips could be about to be charged with bringing the game into disrepute.

It transpires that during City's defeat at Middlesbrough, the Teeside gaffer Gareth Southgate got all hysterical at SWP and accused him of diving. SWP responded by waving two fingers in Southgate's general direction.

Subsequently, we can expect Sports hacks at 'The Street of Shame*' to be working themselves up into a frenzy as the campaign to bring nasty Shaun to justice begins.

Already, Das Daily Mail are shrieking today 'Man City's Wright-Phillips could face FA wrath for V-sign at Boro boss Southgate' and The Daily Torygraph have thundered 'Manchester City`s Shaun Wright-Phillips may face action over gesture to Gareth Southgate.'

Southgate has tried to diffuse the witch hunt by saying: 'I didn`t think he was fouled and he didn`t like what I said to him but I saw him in the tunnel and he was fine. We were both in the wrong and it`s finished.'

Bluesy revealed 'I was too busy shouting at the ref. If Shaun did do something I will speak to him.'

This is all we need. City's stretched young squad are right in amongst an intensive phase of games which will shape our season. For Shaun Wright-Phillips to end up on skid row in some road side motel or worse still, suspended as a result of his heinous crime doesn't bear thinking about.

Makes me long for the days when we taunted Vinnie Jones and his like from the Kippax and got plenty back in return...

File under 'You couldn't make it up' and '
We're all going to hell in a handcart.'

Southgate deserves two fingers up at him, accusing SWP of diving when he obvisusly didn't by watching the game after, don't blame SWP one bit! Also he talks about diving, well its funny that the penuity they got was very soft touch, when one of their players went down outside the box... Now wtell me who was diving Gareth Mouthgate?

LOL, thriller. I think Southgate realises what a bellend he's been. Standby for the TV evidence to get rolled out. What is happening to our game. How much more sanitised can it get??!!!

Well said Thriller. And even Southgate has said they were "both at fault." It would be ridiculous for the FA to make a big deal out of this. Especially with SWP. I think his overall record is exemplary and completely professional. Players swear all the time and nothing is done. I'm not sure why Mouthgate (like the name) was calling SWP anyway. Personally I don't think managers should be allowed to intervene directly with the other team's players in this way -- unless they want to get the strip on and play themselves... SWP was reacting to unreasonable behaviour by the manager.

Spot on Sindbad. Utterly farcical. To think Sports hacks get paid to stir up this sheeyite.
