City Players Booted Out In January - You're Choice

Google language translator

Manchester City fans have been busy on the Vital City Chat forum deciding which player they would like given the boot come the January transfer window.

Do you have an opinion? If the answer is yes, you can register here and begin posting straight away.

Sinbad says...

I can see eleven going and a higher number coming in. The squad is essentially too small. The changes can't all be done in January, but I still think there will be some key changes then.

Some of the INs might look a bit fantasy football. But I've enjoyed researching them. The idea was to have small groups of players from the major footballing countries. Hence a clutch of German players, for instance. Including a top young goalkeeper to give Joe Hart at least serious competition.

If I were Hughsey...

OUT
Ball
Garrido
Vassell (free)
Caicedo (loan)
Berti (free)
Mills (free)
Etuhu (loan)
Logan (loan)
Castillo
Hamann
Schmeichel

IN
René Adler
Christoph Metzelder
Klas Jan Huntelaar
Giorgio Chiellini
Jeremy Toulalan
Taye Taiwo
Marcell Jansen

Meanwhile Johnny Baguette had his own favourites...

I reckon there could be a clear out...certainly next summer, failing serious revolving door activity in January should we still be contenders in Europe.

Dunne (potential shock offski there)
Garrido and Ball (writings on the wall)
Schmeichel (been gobbing off too much and will get the boot)
Etuhu, Logan (unless they can get in some top performances through the coming fixture intensity)
Benjani, Vassell (days numbered unless they can re-establish themselves)
Castillo, Caicedo (will be palmed off on loan)
Danny Mills (I will personally drive him wherever he wants to go).

An excellently time article heading into this important phase of games. The players will stand or fall by their performances. The message is clear. Be a part of it or it's a taxi.
Johnny Baguette
If i was a player and I saw my name on the exit list i might get a little nervous lol. But seriously, either some of them lift their game or start packing, cos with new players expected in Jan, there isnt any place for non-performers.

Why Gelson Stay?!!!!!!!
city 81
I agree about 'headless chicken' Gelson, I don't rate him at all. Scmeichel needs to go. I don't think Evans is Premiership quality. Ball can't even get a game now, so he'll be off when we sign Bridge in January.
Ghost of 76
Bridge isn't good enough. we ned the best left back in the world to free Petrov and shore us up. There is only one...
Sindbad
Seriously -- cast offs from Chelski will not take us where we want to go. SWP is a fantastic player who wasn't given a chance by Mourinho, and is an exception. Exceptional in every way, especially as an attacking right winger the best in the world! But the likes of Huth (at Boro, average), Bridge (less than average) will not take us where we want to go. We need the best Left Back in the world. Why? Because we need to free Petrov, Robinho and Jo down the left to wreak mayhem. the best left back in the world, I believe, is Marcell Jansen. he would cost a lot of well spent money. If there is a better Left Back, please tell...
Sindbad
Ghost, The problem is if Evans go to another club he will become agood player as like as Govani, I Miller & Sameras!!!
city 81
city81. A successful club needs Ched ...
Sindbad
Would think a few more than that,
Tiny T
players going to other clubs from City always seem to do well once they have left.......I wonder why that is ??
lincolnblue
One player linked with wanting away this morning, which seems to have evaded all our lists is Nedum Onouha.
oliverblue
Sindbad, I wanted to say the same what lincolnblue had said .
city 81
lincolnblue...It is usually that they have stepped down a division and found their true level.
alphieblues
I still think Evans can make it here. If we can keep Nedum happy, I would keep him with us, but the lad wants to be first choice, that will not happen at City, there are far better players out there and reluctant to do it, I would sell him in Jnauary,if he is not conent to be just a squad player.
Buzz Lightyear
Tudor you appear to be getting rid of more players than you are bringing in, we are light enough as it is, surely some of your players in the out list could be good squad players?
Buzz Lightyear
Not my choice Buzz. They are the opinions of Sinbad and Johnny Baguette.
Tudor
OUT Dunne Garrido Caicedo Hamann Mills
mcfcthriller
A friend tells me he saw a Manchester TV prog at the weekend where the journalist said he believed Ball had not been playing because he and Hughes had fallen out after the Chelsea game... If that's the case both parties should realise that the club comes first, not their egos.
