Surely can't seriously be considering sacking him yet? Even newcastle usually wait around a year

Results mean everything EvertonMike. We cannot continue the way we are.

Form is temporary though, your a win away from the European positions, I wouldn't exactly see the need for too much panic. Don't forget you had about 4 strikers injured for today, and relied on a kid up top alone.

not sure i think we give him 10 more games, then we should able to tell how good he actually is, today we were complete ***** but other games we are unstoppable

Ten more games - feck me we could be in the bottom three by then.

You could also be in the top 6 tudor. lets be honest at some point Hull are likely to drop back a bit, so 6th is still well and truly up for grabs.

you should give him time he was always going to be under pressure with the takeover and that, you should give him the season to be honest. I remember in O'neils first season we went on summat like no wins in 18 and lerner stuck by him and now look what is happening at Villa on the verge of 3rd if we win tommorrow. I think the board should defo forget about challenging for 4th this season and just focus on maybe challening for 6th or 7th. It would be typical mindless forgein owners if Hughes was sacked. UTV

Tudor mate i know its bloody frustrating but we cant be too hasty to get on his back. Im as bewildered as anyone as to why he is opting with Richards at LB, obviously he sees that as a big problem area which it is and he will address that in due course. I say dont worry, we will be mid-table or there abouts for this season, maybe a late season push if we get the right players in. Dont forget we have played brilliant football on occassions this season, better than I can ever remember. I do wonder about Hughes sometimes, but we cannot become the next Tottenham or Newcastle sacking their manager when they have a bad run of games. Hughes will get it right even if it takes a year or 2. Until then lets get behind the team And BTW im as *****ed off as every other city fan with the last couple of games and the defense in general

We must stick with him. There was a vey concerning moment though when we were 1-0 down and the camera panned to Hughes. He was sat slumped in his chair looking very disinterested. Not what the fans want to see!

Jesus christ. Fans dare to accuse Tottenham fans of being fickle. What a pathetic thread. Remember City fans, just because you have loads of money it doesn't guarentee success. Give the guy a chance ffs.

Its not a question we should be asking at this early stage,if the rags had gone down this line they would have sacked red nose in his first season, he was bobbins. If the board hadn't wasted half the summer chasing goofy, we may have had some more quality players in the side, but this side is not a poor one, it has just dipped in form but how much does garrido add to the side, we score goals when he is in the side but none when he isnt. Jo is missed he uses the ball better than Evans or Sturridge at the moment and these two are just learning their trade. The only mistake that Sparky has done is put a round peg in a square hole at left back and is too stubborn even in the substitutions to put it back. I mean yesterday we were creating chances and it was obvious that Richards was not playing well in the LB position, but Sparky changed the midfield and attack, which wasn't the problem. No we must keep Sparky he is a good manager.

what would be the point of sacking a perfectly good manager NOW ?....a new manager would only have the same players to pick from.......he would still have the same weaknesses......he would still have to wait till Jan to spend on some class players...... .....give the man some time to build the team he wants......he. like anyone else needs time.....remember....when he started at City he had an owner with a suspect bank started off with that in mind.......then the new owners came in.....with Mega money.....but he didnt really have any time do do anything with it, other than Robinho.........then important players have had injuries keeping them out of the team....... I for one, am totally with judgement on what he can do and has done will not come until at least this time NEXT season, when he has not only had the Jan window ( which is limited due to players still being in Champs league and Uefa cups ), but also the proper window of the summer to sign up real class for City.

Sparky is a good young British manager. But he does not have all the answers. I think he could benefit from some of the humility which Southgate showed at Middlesbrough in his first season. Sometimes to admit that you have made a mistake is not just sensible... it is the only way forward.
