'If It's Football, It's Vital'

I am Not In Rehab Claims Steve McClaren

Google language translator

England fans have long memories, especially when ex Three Lions boss Steve McClaren failed miserably to get England to the finals of Euro 2008.

Have you forgiven him yet?

After the 3-2 Wembley defeat against Croatia last November (who remembers the 'wally under the brolly' pictures?) it didn't take long for McClaren to leave good old blighty, (some say under a cloud) for pastures new. Wally is now coaching Dutch side FC Twente.

Talking ahead of tonight's UEFA Cup game at the City of Manchester City Stadium, Steve McClaren stressed he was not in Holland for rehab.

'Believe you and me, I'm not in rehab. It's a word that's not for me. I'm experiencing a different culture, different environment, different football and I'm enjoying it.'

'It's part of a career - it's not rehab. Whatever you say, I'm enjoying my football. If I'm not a stronger person and a better manager now (than a year ago) I want shooting again. I should be with all the lessons I have learnt and I hope I am. That's what I'm trying to do. Whatever I do I'm trying to be the best I can be.'

Talking of rehab, watch this infamous interview and decide for yourselves if you think he needs to be sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

Perhaps the subtitles should have been in English and not Dutch!
Tudor

Ha ha, very good mate.
Tudor
Wally is right. What on earth is he trying to do with his voice? He can't speak Dutch, so he's trying to talk English with a Dutch accent. The man has clearly had all common sense surgically removed.
Sindbad
Has he dyed his hair to try to make himself look more blonde like a stereotypical Dutch bloke. Anybody would think he is trying to look like Denis Bergkamp. Maybe little of the berg, but a lot of the camp!
Sindbad
HAHAHAHAHA, hope its warm enough and the Brazilians are in their samba mood!!! whats the predicted temp for the game???
ArabianKnight
To be fair, he's doing a decent job there, and we'll have to improve on the last two performances to get the three points.

Wonder how many will turn up at CoMS tonight. My best guess is just over 20,000.
Tudor
Itsh sherioushly bisharre thish interview. Well weird. Classic bellendery.
Johnny Baguette
Our home UEFA attendances are cetainly not going to be good Tudes. Closing the top tier for PSG and Twente will already see us minus that 12th man.
Johnny Baguette
I'll be surprised if we even get to 20k! Desperately need a thumping good win to get the confidence back.
