Midfield Signing Speculation

City have been linked with a surprise summer swoop for Real Madrid midfielder Thomas Gravesen, who is under contract with the Spanish giants until June 2008.

Gravesen's agent and City have distanced themselves from the speculation claiming no contact has been made.

Former Evertonian Gravesen, has not enjoyed the best of times since his move to Madrid and has been linked with a number of Premiership clubs, including our 'friends' up the road.

At nearly 30, he would bring a lot of experience into City's problem midfield area, but should we be looking to signing younger players and building for the future?

Would you like to see Gravesen at Eastlands - let us know?

I think I'd agree, although if Barton does eventually go in the summer, that might change the picture. I've also been impressed with Arteta this season and he might link up well with Riera if he stays. There's a lot of good midfielders out there, but I just wonder whether Pearce will be given the money to bring in some real quality
