Agents Circle City Like Vultures

Google language translator

With the January transfer window just around the corner reports coming out of Manchester, suggest players agents are beginning to circle City like vultures hoping of getting their clients an Eastlands deal.

For weeks, numerous agents are known to have sent City the right signals in an attempt to push their clients' names in front of manager Mark Hughes; however, Sparky is having absolutely none of it.

Agent's fees

When a club buys a player, their respective agent gets a slice of the deal. Sometimes thousands, if not tens of thousands of pounds can exchange hands, depending on the transfer fee.

The news won't exactly stun Manchester City fans especially now that owner Sheikh Mansour has promised the manager almost a limitless budget for new players.

'There may be a danger that people think that as a club we will be able to pay over the odds for players but we will not be ripped off,' insisted the Welshman.

'Sheikh Mansour and the chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak are astute businessmen who know a good deal. They are not men who will be taken for a ride.'

'They understand the value of players and what it takes to make deals happen. Their success as businessmen should be remembered by those who come and deal with us.'

Homework

Hughes continued...

'Player acquisition is not an exact science but we have a list of targets. We have done our homework and we hope everything will go through.'

'Even the best laid plans can have last-minute hitches that compromise the deal and sometimes they don't happen, but we will make sure we do everything in our power to bring in the players that I know will help us.'
