City Will Not Be Destabilised

Google language translator

There are forces at work trying to destabilise Mark Hughes and Manchester City FC, especially since the takeover and the Clubs new found wealth.

City's previous three Premier League outings haven't exactly gone according to plan, nevertheless Bluesy is adamant City will not be destabilised.

'I understand why that is happening. Maybe people have an agenda because it benefits them,' said the gaffer.

'A lot of people have an interest in what we are doing here. In some people's eyes, they will also see the amount of money they could make in terms of signings if they could make things happen.'

'They will drive that situation forward to suit their own ends. That has been the case in recent times.'

Pressure, what pressure?

'We have placed pressure on ourselves because results have not been what we want. People have jumped on that situation and tried to increase that pressure.'

'We are grown men. We understand what is happening. It is not a surprise. It is predictable. But make no mistake, the owner and chairman are very aware of it and won't stand for it.'

I think it was Frank Clark who talked of "5th columnists" at City years ago. Somebody was at work during the summer before ADUG came in. Whose sturring the sheeyiite?

City will not make decisions to suit agents, newspapers or TV presenters. And to become one of the top football clubs in Europe we fans will set our own new standards. We are aiming to be the best, and nothing less.
