Robinho has hit back following Sir Alex`s comments that Manchester City would never be able to compete at the top level of football and make that step up from a "small club"
Robinho Spoke to the media, with words that should persuade the doubters about his move, and supply us fans with even more optimism for the future.
He stated:
"The people who say Manchester City are a small club will be talking about what a big club we are in two or three years. The project is very ambitious and in football nothing is impossible.
"Look at Chelsea. Three or four years ago they were considered a small club.
"But now they`re a big club. So, as I said, anything can happen."
Robinho also went on to talk about his move to Eastland`s and blamed Chelsea for not being able to make his move to London a reality.
"It was Chelsea`s own fault. I didn`t want to stay at Real Madrid any longer and Chelsea knew that. At the beginning they were the only club who had made an offer.'
"Everything would probably have been OK, but they put that picture of me on the website and Madrid were very upset about that!"
"The second reason is that Chelsea are in the Champions League and, with me, they would have been even stronger!"
"Then, on the last day of the transfer window, City made an offer. It`s not nice to hear people say I moved only for money. When Brazilian footballers leave Brazil it is to improve their lives."
To all you Anti-Robinho`s and those who believe he`s only at City for the money: please study those words because there from the heart. Robinho may not love the club but he wears the badge with pride, and gives his best every minute we kicks the ball for the Blues. So Sir Alex, watch out, there`s a Brazilian about.
