City In Talks With Who?

Al Jazira midfielder Ibrahim Diaky has today revealed he is in talks with Manchester City over a possible move.

On a possible move to Eastland`s the Ivorian midfielder had this to say:

'It's possible. The club president told me about the possibility about one month ago. I heard Mark Hughes was here last month and the president is talking to some people; team coaches and managers. Maybe next year it can happen.

'For me it would be a big pleasure to play for Manchester City. They are a big team and it would be a great, new experience for me."

'Right now though, we are focused on the league and trying to win the league with Al Jazira. But, for me, it is a great opportunity to go to Manchester City."

'I know Kolo Toure, Didier Zokora and Emmanuel Eboue - we all come from the same football academy in Ivory Coast."

'I don't speak to them regularly, but whenever we go back for vacations we meet. I watch the English football all the time and that's why I am an Arsenal supporter: My friends are there.'

His previous clubs include Tunisian side Esperance Sportive, and Al Ain. I mean in all due respect who is he? If he is good enough then bring it on but it`s worth thinking about what I`m about to say.

Ibrahim Diaky went on to say this:

'I knew the owners were the same [as own Al Jazira and Man City], so I was thinking: 'Maybe I could move there','

I get the feeling this is defiantly not a Mark Hughes signing and more of the owners who feel he plays well for an unknown team so he must surely be able to cut it in the prem.

If he does move however I`m sure we will all be willing him to do well but if I had the choice of him or Kaka? I think we all know the winner there.

lincolnblue
he's an ivorian midfiedler, dunno if he's any good, he did indeed come form the same academy as the likes of both yaya and kolo, the academy has a great reputation. we should look at Gervinho who playing in france for le mans who is a young small silky striker...

Some good players come form the Ivory Coast. He could be a rough diamond. Come to think of it didn't Frank send over some players over from Thailand ?
alphieblues
indeed thaksin did to that, and they got released this summer. oh i think we'v all heard the "uncut diamond" before.. This just hope The Owners have a better eye for them than stuart pearce cough samaras.

If he is a regular International for the Ivory Coast, then a work permit should be a formality. If not then there is no point in signing him. Anyone know?
Buzz Lightyear
gotta say chaps - I've never heard of him!

Some say he can shoot the ball faster than 150 mph and he wears a cape.

Time to dump Dunn too slow.

i think this is the work of agents talking his player up anyone remember the nigerian lad who played for southampton when souness was manager he was signed because his 'agent' sent in a dvd of his best shot on goal from differant angles to the chairman and got a months contract. so buyer beware has to be taken with this guy .... who is he anyway?

I don't think Hughes would ever buy a player on videos... He has already said they need the quality, talent and the right attitude to fit in. If this guy ticks the boxes, okay. But we will need to buy some ten players in January to have a big enough squad in numbers alone. We need quality and experienced players as well.
