'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hughes Defiant But Basile Claims City Offer

Google language translator

Former Argentine boss Alfo Basile claims he has received an offer from Manchester City to become their new Manager.

Basile has stated that he received offers from the Middle East and from England.
Basile told TyC Sports 'I have received offers from Manchester City, from English clubs and from the United Arab Emirates that I'm currently studying.

'I'm dying to manage again and I have no idea why some people keep on saying that football is over for me.'

Could today`s game see the final curtain drop for Mark Hughes, or is this just a old man trying to get in the limelight for one last time?

I don`t really know much of this Basile, but if Mark Hughes cant pick up the pace and drive for the rest of the season, then anyone would be better than Hughes.

It is worth noting as well, that city have the same number of points at the same stage of the 2002 season, when they were relegated? I know we wont, I`m pretty positive we will still finish in the top 10, but I`m not so sure it will be with Hughes if he cant produce a good ending to a rather bumpy year for City.
