There goes the season again !

There goes the season again !

City crashed out of the FA Cup at the quarter final stage despite widespread optimism and tremendous fan support and once again snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

I think what was particularly disappointing is that most of the players didn't really look up for it; almost as if they failed to realise the importance of getting through to a semi-final after all these years, or perhaps they did an were overawed by the weight of expectation.

I'm too depressed to attempt an objective summary of the game other than to say that the senior players in the team need to do a lot of soul searching about their passion for the game and the club. I thought Psycho was beginning to sort all that out, but now I'm not so sure.

No excuses, we were poor and didn't really look like forcing a draw. The referee gave a perfect demonstration of how to kill what should have been a classic cup tie encounter. I'm not talking about the dismissal of Sun - he should have known better and had to go, but the flow of the game was halted at every opportunity.

Three bad defeats on the trot now...just as well we've got an easy game this weekend !

Hopefully, now that we're condemned to the mid table regions, Psycho will give the kids a real go before a very much needed end of season clear out.

It could be worse I guess - I could have been a Birmingham City fan !
