More Injury Woe For City

Just when City needed a bit of cheer, we got more bad news instead.

Striker Georgious Samaras is out for a number of weeks as a result of an injury he sustained in Saturdays'Wigan game.

It is hoped he'll figure in the first team again this season, but what's for sure is that City now have a striker crisis.

Cole has still not recovered, Vassell is carrying a slight injury, although will probably continue to play, which leaves very few striking options.

I guess Sibierski could push up, but he's also on the injured list, and that really leaves BWP and Miller. Bradley looked out of sorts in the last two games and doesn't inspire confidence at the moment, whilst Miller has only played about 20 minutes in the first team.

This is a test for City and Pearce and he might be forced into blooding another youngster, such as Etuhu.

However bad the striker crisis is at the moment, I hope the experiment with Dunne and Distin leading the line isn't repeated ;-)

Oh well, good thing you don't have a tough fixture coming up on Saturday!
