Vital Manchester City Broke The Eto'o Story

Google language translator

On 9 December 2008 and then on 2 January 2009, Vital Manchester City were the first to break the exclusive story that City were looking at Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o.

Exclusive: City Track Down Samuel Eto'o

Today, 6 January 2009 a Barca source said...

"We can only study actual offers but it is practically impossible that Samuel will exit the club at the moment."

The player's agent, Jose Maria Mesalles agreed and insists such reports are to be expected:

"It is normal that big clubs are interested in Samuel, but now he is very focused in Barcelona and the success of the team."

The former Mallorca striker sees his current contract with the Catalan giants expire in June 2010 but club President Joan Laporta admits that negotiations have begun on a renewed deal...

"This is a priority for us. The first contact with the player has been positive and we are optimistic."

Hopefully, this won't be our last exclusive. We at Vital Man City have contacts within or close to the club and hope to bring you more in the future.

I'm beginning to think that Vital Football knows who Hughes will bid for before he even knows himself. A list of everyone who has ever played for Hughes at Wales or Blackburn would be as accurate a list as the Daily Mail and Mirror can produce with all their speculation.

I thought it was only us who bought Barca cast-offs!
