There is an increasing air of resignation that City's contract stallers will not be at Eastlands next season.
The results of our web poll were that 41% thought that Joey Barton and 39% that Silvain Distin would be gone by the start of next season.
It's well documented that both players are considering life away from City and on the one hand their departures will certainly leave a massive hole in the first team, but on the other hand, City should be able cash in on them both and hopefully Pearce will be allowed to use the proceeds to strengthen the team; an increasing priority if recent performances are anything to go by.
With the propspect of no European football next year, it would appear that there is now even less reason to peruade the want aways to stay.
Should City give in to their wage demands and break the bank..... you tell us ?
