Craig Bellamy Is A Blue

This was always going to be controversial but Craig Bellamy has signed for City on a four year deal from The Hammers...

The much travelled 29 year old was bought for an undisclosed fee but the result of a fourth bid for his services is thought to be in the region of £14 million. Of course that is seriously steep considering he will be 30 this year and cannot be described as prolific.

The Wales International brings more baggage than Ringway with him, but we are going to have to come to terms with it and trust Mark Hughes' judgement at a crucial phase in our season.

This personally disappointed correspondent's chief concern is what effect the signing of a striker heading into his 30's will have upon our Academy forwards, most notably the yet to sign on Daniel Sturridge.

Let's see who Hughes drops at his expense for Newcastle.

Still, it's never a dull moment at Manchester City regardless of who's in charge and Bellamy's controversial signing is no exception.

So what happens to Jo, Benji, Sturridge or are you going to be adopting a 4-4-2??

I have to say I am one of the minority of spurs fans who is dissapointed that he wont be coming to WHL, but I have to say I dont understand where he fits in to the City Blueprint.. I thought your main priority should have been Roque santa Cruz or similar (although you may still get him) but I agree the signings of the likes of CB will surely inhibit the progress of the likes of Sturridge and Michael Johnson, which would be a shame for the youngsters at the club.

Good luck with him guys, as a Hammer I have been disappointed with his attitude. We stuck with him through injury, he gives us 4 or 5 decent games, then pushes for one last pay day. 14 million is good business for us.

Well my bad dream has come to pass. So now he has pulled on the shirt it is time to get behind him until he proves he is not worthy of it.

Cheers suckers. At least we've got some of our petrol money back! 18 months & 6 goals. Obviously well worth £14 million. Don't suppose Mark Hughes has mentioned Nigel Quashi has he?
