Robinho Arrested And Released On Bail

Google language translator

West Yorkshire Police said a man had been arrested on Tuesday in connection with an alleged incident on 14 January.

It's understood that City's record signing met police as part of a 'criminal investigation' into an alleged attack at a nightclub in Leeds.

Robinho's spokesman said: 'Robinho strenuously denies any allegation of wrongdoing or criminality and is happy to co-operate with the police if further required.'

Following City's torrid treatment at the hands of the newspaper hacks this past fortnight this is the last thing Mark Hughes and his management team need as they prepare a revamped City side for the crucial clash against Newcastle at Eastlands tonight.

Putting my loyalty to the blues aside, I feel for Robinho in this situation, Just as I felt for Van persie, Ronaldo and Jonny Evans when similar allegations were made against them in the past. This kind of thing is disgusting and I hope that when Robinho is cleared, they throw the book at the "student" making the allegations. Does anyone know what happen to the women who made alleagtions against the three other players named above???

It is difficult to speculate on the veracity in these matters. A rape case is very serious and would not normally be a subject to which bail would be granted.Especially given that Robinho took himself off to Brazil last week. However a lot of allegation have been made against premier footballers before and found to have no susbstance, but without knowing what the exact allegation is the press as JB says will have a field day on this one.

If you have nothing to do 'eltosso' go write on your own clubs page if you have one. Ihope this is untrue and Robinho scores a hat trick tonight and Barton gets sent off.

Well I am well connected in this neck of the woods. I have been informed that the reason bail was granted is that the police believe there is no substance to the allegations. It is alleged that Robbie and Micah were involved in a sexual act, from which the allegations have come from. The allegations have been/are due to be dropped, the story will be sold as a kiss and tell and Robinho flew back to Brazil to save his marraige as his wife found about it and left England last week. This is what I have been led to believe anyway.

I thought MH looked very slightly less than comfortable yesterday when he was answering questions, like there was an elephant in the room... So it really was a domestic problem then, and if MH knew beforehand, then we can't rule out collusion to the tune of 2 weeks wages, and gratefully handed over, to disentangle the domestic. If it's rape, it's serious, but the woman shouldn't have left the building without reporting it. So Robbie's now tarred Micah with his brush, or was it vice versa... and she's probably bitten off more than she can chew.. Oh dear.. I wonder how this last paragraph will look in a few days?!

Well 'eltosso' good to see you noticed the "very clever use of words" and you found it "so FUNNY". I've just been on vital Aston Villa and remarkably there are no posts from you on the many random stories I selected, infact there was a post from a City fan (Watmoughst) praising your team for their achievents so far this season and wishing you good luck for the rest of the campaign. The vital club forums all say "100% Unofficial, For the Fans, By the Fans". You're not a City fan so F*** off and stay on the Villa site. I look on here because I'm a City fan. We don't need or want to be critisised by you or those like you, the press are managing that quite well on their own.

Dear 'eltosso' I won't lower myself to mindless and pathetic insults you choose to throw at me and my club. For your information I am quite happy, I take the good with the bad with a smile on my face, as do most City fans and most fans in general. I never predicted we would win the league or anything else at any time. I'm not bothered if City get above Villa in 2 years or in 20 years or if ever. I follow City and have done for many years and will do always, weather they win or lose. I always have had, and always will have hope that my team will be the best. I personally don't care about other clubs and don't write on their forums so why don't you be gracious enough to return the favour and F*** OFF!

Eltoro I really do hope that Villa break into the top four, and yes I am sorry they have a sad fan such as you supporting them. Get your mum to put some more batteries in your speak and spell, it obviously is not working.

eltoro, you really do give your club a very bad reputation. I am fortunate enough to be very good firends with a few midlanders, a couple of them supporting the villa. I think even they would say you are an embarresment to your club and your county. I have a lot of respect for Martin O'Neil and what he has achieved, but even more with the way he has achieved it. Please go about your daily rituals by offering support to your own team rather than mouthing off about others around you, cos to be fair, you have a lot to be proud of.
