Come & Get Me Manchester City - Shay Given

Google language translator

Newcastle United number one goalkeeper Shay Given has told his current boss, Joe Kinnear that he wants to talk to Manchester City over a possible move.

'I have bent over backwards to keep him - I've tried to make him stay," Kinnear told the Evening Chronicle.

'He wants a new challenge and he wants to speak to Manchester City.'

News coming out of Manchester suggests the 32-year-old Republic of Ireland keeper is in the City for tonight's Premier League clash; however, he won't be in the Newcastle squad, but instead agreeing personal terms with the Eastlands club.

Looking more like a done deal but if we can't close it in 24 hrs for a reasonable price we should walk away.

Get him in. We need him. "Reasonable price" is an interesting concept when compared to how much we have paid for Craig Bellamy and Wayne Bridge.

Well, where is he then? Supposed to be signing for us after the barcodes match, but no sign. Hurry up, want him for the Stoke game!
