Artic Conditions Set To Disrupt Weekends Fixtures

This weekend (Sat & Sun 7th / 8th February 2009) Premier and Football League fixtures are set to suffer from the current snow and icy conditions with many postponements expected.

Over the last few days, the majority of England and Wales has received more snow than at any time in the last 18 years, with many areas expecting another 4 - 12 inches either later tonight or first thing tomorrow morning. Saturday sees a rest bite from the white-stuff with temperatures averaging just above the freezing mark; however, Sunday and Monday could see another major snow event.

Football fans planning to attend this weekend games should keep an eye on Sky Sports News for further developments.

Doubt our match will be postponed but can't see too many Boro fans making it over the hills in the snow. At least this time they'll have an excuse for not selling all their tickets!
