Pearce Champing At The Bit

Stuart Pearce is champing at the bit to put the weekends loss at Fulham to bed and get back to winning ways. Man City lost 2-1 at Craven Cottage putting an end to our recent great form. Pearce is disappointed the team will now have to wait two weeks for a game because of International action but is confident the weekends result was just a blip.

He told the official site: “I’d rather have a game tomorrow and that’s the feeling within the dressing room. I’ve got enough confidence in our squad to say if we play at 100 per-cent week in, week out, there’s probably give or take a little bit of luck here and there, in my opinion not too many teams who can turn us over.'

Adding that we need consistency: 'We’ve just got to do it day in day out. We can’t do things by half measures though, I say that when we win games and I’m saying now after we’ve lost one. I can’t do that and certainly the players can’t.'
