FC Copenhagen v Man City Team News

Manchester City manager Mark Hughes has both Richard Dunne and Shaun-Wright Phillips available again after suspension for tonight's UEFA Cup match against FC Copenhagen in Denmark.

Robinho (thigh) and Micah Richards (ankle) are both expected to recover from off injuries in time for this round of 32 first leg match.

However, Gelson Fernandes has remained at home to have further treatment on a tight hamstring.

FC Copenhagen

Copenhagen have reached this stage of European competition for the first time in their history, and they go into the last-32, first leg tie in their close season with the domestic programme not due to start until next month.

Preparation

Copenhagen coach Stale Solbakken told the media...

'We have had five friendlies and I have been pleased with the way we have played, but we know we need to do something special if we are to get anything from City.'

'This is a big happening in Copenhagen as the club has never been in Europe at this time of year, so in some ways we have nothing to lose.'

Lets hope Dunnie has a blinder

Hope so too. With Dunnie and SWP back, Given in goal and our Brazillians firing on all three cylinders what can go wrong!?

Tactics, team selection and bad substitutions kennyclementstache though I'm hoping and praying he gets it right this time!!!!

Time for a Captain's innings from Richard Dunne. Be interesting to see who partners him; I would personally put Kompany back at DM, with Zab at RB and Micah on the bench. Hope we don't miss De Jong's uber-acurrate passing. Please god, not two defensive midfielders again, it's killing our goal threat without stifling the goals against!
