'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Portadown MCFC Supporters Club Donate

Members of the Portadown Manchester City Football Club Supporters Club have kindly donated 200.00 towards the Carl Ramsbottom appeal.

Well done to everyone concerned, however there is still a long way to go.

Carl's flight home from Germany could cost as much as 15,000, which by anyone's standards is a huge amount.

Requirements - private air ambulance, round the clock doctors, nurses, & various specialised equipment.

Fundraising

Friends and family have rallied round and arranged a cabaret night in an effort to raise much-needed funds.

The occasion will take place on Friday 3rd April 2009 at the Royal British legion, Victoria Avenue Blackley.

Compare - James H Reeve
Comedian - Mike Lancaster
Entertainer - Dom Collins
Ex City playerMusic - D J Dave
Grand Auction & Raffle - TBA

The event starts at 7pm & finishes late.

Tickets can be purchased for just a mere 5.00 from Ian 07852826150 or Phil 07956459131.

All Proceeds will go to the Carl Ramsbottom appeal

Background

Carl Ramsbottom is a life long City fan who originates from Heywood.

On 27 November 2008, Carl travelled over to Germany to watch his beloved side play Schalke in the UEFA Cup, however due to a tragic incident at a German train station; Carl suffered life-threatening injuries.

Due to this horrendous incident, Carl ended up in a coma for three weeks. He is currently in a rehabilitation unit in Germany while his family remain by his bedside.

The family are hopeful that Carl might be in a position to be repatriated to a rehab unit within the United Kingdom, hopefully sometime in March.

Carl's long-term outcome is far from certain.

Donate

If you would like to make a donation, please make cheques payable to P&W MCFCCSA and send it to Ian Ramsbottom. 12 Plant Hill Road Blackley M96NH.
