If I Had A Song?
Most songs when their played can relate to something. For example all the soppy dates out their will believe that slow "love" songs will remind them of their partners or generalizing, a certain lyric will remind you of somebody you know.
However this article is not about what song makes you think of your lover or friend, but what song reminds you of certain periods within your timeframe as a City fan. Being a Man City fan can certainly cause many emotions, which can relate to different thing, but songs have a weird way of telling it exactly how it is, and how you feel.
Fellow City fans for an example, is their a song that reminds you of the past year? New Owners, New players? If I had song that I would say described Manchester City over the past year it would be: Bob Dylan`s "the times they are changing". The reason would be for the lyrics below:

However I wouldn`t say I like Bob Dylan`s music as a whole, but its worth saying that every opinion or song will be an individuals own, so whether its Bob Dylan or Queen or Even N-Dubz, every song has a story and every fan has an opinion.

We should sing inspirational songs like that rather than Blue Moon - I really have grown tired of Blue Moon. You'll never walk alone is an inspirational song which embodies the togetherness of football fans. Blue Moon is a tragedy of isolation. It doesn't inspire me at all. It's droney.
I particularly like 'get back to what you know' by embrace, 'i predict a riot' by kaiser chiefs - relating to the 8-1 at middlesborough and anything by oasis as they are easy to sing tunes that all fans can relate to. You don't need to change the words - it just needs to be simple, inspiring and relevant.

I was at a game a couple of years ago and a slightly chubby lad was walking round what used to be called the cylinder track and part of the crowd started singing 'I predict a diet'. Makes me chuckle every time I think of it.
